When I had came across Ted Dekker I had by then lost interest in reading any and all authors being that there was no author out there that could hold and maintain my attention. I had given up on reading to a large degree as well being that there was not any new, fresh talent on the scene who wrote captivating,up to date fiction that had kept up with the times. There was no one on the scene of writing who could take a character who was suffering from a mental illness of sorts who never even had a clue as to himself having an imaginary person of his making that would wreak havoc upon his life and his very existence. His character in three was so refreshing, entertaining and believable that as you would read the story of this man who was plagued by this imaginary individual you would believe that you suffered yourself as the reader from the same malady as the character that you were reading about. Ted dekkER brought the character into the real world of his readers that you could place yourself into those shoes of the character. You would come to believe that his character in three was so very realistic that it was your actual, real car that would be blown up if you did not follow the demands of a maniacal, disturbed, sadistic individual who was dead set on you paying the ultimate price of some type of wrong doing that the crazy individual thought and believed you had committed. A sin of sorts that could only be forgiven by commiting yourself to atoning to it with this evil individual. The real question of the hour was would this character make it out alive or not?
